Ancient Mataram Kingdom

     Ancient Mataram Kingdom (8th century) is a Hindu kingdom in Java (Central Java and East Java). Based on the records contained in prasassti found, the Ancient Mataram Kingdom goes back to the reign of King Sanjaya who holds Rakai Mataram Queen Sanjaya. He ruled Ancient Mataram Kingdom to 732M.

Ancient Mataram kingdom thought to have stood since the beginning of the 8th century. At its inception, this work is centered in Central Java. However, in the 10th century the center of the Ancient Mataram Kingdom moved to East Java. Ancient Mataram Kingdom has two berbedaa religious backgrounds, namely Hinduism and Buddhism.

Mataram kingdom in Central Java

Ancient Mataram kingdom based in Central Java consists of two dynastic (family), the Sanjaya dynasty and Sailendraa. Sanjaya is the founder of the dynasty of King Sanjaya. Mataram kingdom in East Java
